The Fifth International Symposium on Biopharmaceutical Statistics

The International Society for Biopharmaceutical Statistics (ISBS) and
The Central European Network of the International Biometric Society (IBS) proudly announce
the Joint Conference on Biometrics and Biopharmaceutical Statistics
(the Fifth International Symposium on Biopharmaceutical Statistics for ISBS) to be taken place on August 28 - September 1, 2017, Vienna, Austria.
A satellite symposium will be co-organized by the European Medicines Agency.
We are looking forward to an event integrating multiple perspectives on current biostatistical research and an excellent
opportunity for organisations and companies to meet colleagues from academia, regulatory agencies and other organisations.
The conference will feature keynote speakers including John P. A. Ioannidis (Stanford University, USA), Ulrich Dirnagl
(Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany), Alison Smith (University of Wollongong, Australia) and
Stijn Vansteelandt (University Ghent, Belgium).
Call for Contributed Talks
We invite topic contributed session proposals for the CEN-ISBS Vienna 2017 on the conference website at www.cenisbs2017.org.
Proposals from any area covered by the conference’s scientific topics are welcome.
The format of the sessions is flexible and can include up to 5 talks, 3 talks + discussant, 3 talks + panel discussion, etc.
Proposals can be submitted via the conference website. Please consult the submission guidelines on the conference website before submission.
In particular, note that the session organiser is responsible for contents (incl. obtaining consent from the speakers) and for providing correct names,
affiliations and e-mail addresses of all speakers in the proposal text. Deadline for submission of topic-contributed session proposals
is the January 31, 2017. The Scientific Programme Committee will evaluate all submitted proposals and notification of acceptance will be given by
February 28, 2017.
The call for abstracts for regular contributed talks and posters will be published in January 2017 and will be open until March 31, 2017.
